China's SOEs reform gained a lot attention during the 18th national congress of CPC, however ANBOUND think tank researchers generally do not believe that significant progress will be achieved in the near future. ANBOUND’s chief researcher Chen Gong pointed out that it is not possible for the SOEs reform to achieve significant progress as SOEs reform is a part of China’s political reform and it involves tremendous economic interest.
